Hypnotic Stick Lacrosse Company

I completed this website in the Spring of 2011. The client (an art major in college) wanted a site that would catch the eye of his target audience, young lacrosse players. This site required a good deal of work with Flash and I learned quite a bit while completing this site. The look of the site is almost 100% the client’s vision. In the end he was happy with the site and has told me that he has received many compliments on it.

Advantage Litigation Services

I completed this website in the Fall of 2010. The client wanted a clean, simple site that focused on her work samples. She had strong ideas on how the site should look and what content she wanted to include. The result is a website that will not look “dated” anytime soon and will be easy for her to add content and update as necessary.

HLC Cornhole Championships

Below is a link to an email I produced to both market and sign people up for the Hanover Lacrosse Club Cornhole Championships. The tournament was a fundraiser for the Hanover Lacrosse Club and was hosted by The O’Zone which is also a client.

Superior Document Services

This is the largest site that I have created. It was coded with XHTML & CSS. Later a blog (WordPress) was added. The client wanted a site that had a technical look to it since the litigation support industry is rapidly moving away from paper and towards digital. I chose a dark background with sans-serif fonts in bright colors to achieve an electronic look. Most pages have a nice picture at the top to warm the site up a bit. Next to the images at the top of the page are a few words which give visitors an idea about the company, its values and history, which add a personal touch.

MX Lid

I completed this website in the Fall of 2009. The client wanted an E-Commerce site with an attitude to match his product. I took this as a great opportunity to design a “grunge” site which is a lot of fun for me. The site sells motocross hats which have the visor of a motorcycle helmet. My personal favorite hat features the “ugly art” of Bob X.

The client wanted to keep this site simple and did not foresee many updates, so I did not incorporate a content management system.

M. H. West & Co., Inc.

I completed this website in the Fall of 2008. The client wanted an a more vibrant website. Her company’s website had not been updated for several years and looked dated. The current site consists mostly of  content from the previous site plugged into a new layout. I then incorporated WordPress, so that the site would be easy to update and maintain.

The client was very hands on in the design process. She wanted bright colors that would “pop” and give the site some energy. She also wanted movies placed on the site when possible.

Copper Hill Essentials

I completed this website in the Spring of 2009. The client wanted to start selling her organic aromatherapy products online and asked me to design a site that was both fun and reflected her company’s environmentally friendly views.  Since the products to be sold on the site are organic, a nature-inspired theme was a perfect fit. The top of the page is in the sky, while the foot of the page is ground in the earth. I decided to use drawn graphics as opposed to photographs, in order to achieve a lighter more fun feel to the site. Trees, clouds and other elements were experimented with in the design, but in the end I though a cleaner, simpler look was best. Below are some more screen shots of  www.copperhillessentials.com.

DC United Wallpaper

I have gotten into the habit of making DC United wallpaper at the start of the season for the past couple of years. I post the wallpaper at the DCU forum at BigSoccer if anybody wants to use it. Computer wallpaper is fun to design since you start with a blank screen and relatively few if any restrictions. A client has never asked me come up with a wallpaper and I’m guessing that maybe some customer Twitter backgrounds will be as close as I get to designing wallpaper for profit. Below is a link if you wish to download the wallpaper. The download includes two sizes: 1280×1024 and 1900×1200.
